Terms of Service
Effective from: March 2026
These terms govern your access to and use of the Royal King Seeds website and any purchases made through it. By placing an order or browsing our site, you accept the conditions set out below.
Who may buy
You need to be 18 or older to order from us. Completing a purchase is your confirmation that you are, and that you have the legal capacity to enter the agreement. We will cancel and refund an order where we have reason to believe that is not the case.
What we are selling
Seed is sold as an adult collectible and for genetic preservation. We take no position on what you may lawfully do with it, and we do not give legal advice — knowing what applies where you live is yours to establish before you order, not ours to interpret for you.
Prices, rand and how the card is charged
Every price on the site is in South African rand with VAT already included, and there is no surcharge added at the payment step: the shelf price is the amount taken. One thing worth stating plainly, because it is not obvious — our payment provider settles in US dollars, so your bank converts at its own rate and may add its own international transaction fee. That fee is between you and your bank; we have padded our displayed rate to absorb the typical difference, but we cannot control it. Prices can change without notice, though never after you have paid.
Delivery
We ship to addresses in all nine provinces. The transit windows quoted on the shipping page are honest estimates based on how couriers actually perform, not promises — outlying towns and farm addresses run behind the metros, and we say so rather than quoting one national figure that only holds for Johannesburg.
Returns
Opened packs cannot come back, because seed is a living product that cannot be restocked once the seal is broken. Sealed packs can be returned within 14 days. The full position, including your statutory rights under the Consumer Protection Act, is set out on the returns page.
The germination guarantee
If seeds do not open when the published method is followed, we replace them free within a 30-day window, on a claim supported by photographs. It is a promise backed by a remedy rather than a test result, and we describe it that way deliberately.
Where our liability ends
We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss connected to the products, and our total liability on any order is capped at what you paid for it. Nothing here limits rights the Consumer Protection Act gives you, which cannot be contracted away regardless of what a terms page says.
Governing law
South African law governs these terms, and the South African courts have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
