Outdoor yield: 549-838 g/plant (avg across 4 verified grower reports)

About B-52 Auto

B-52 announces itself in a fixed order, and linalool is always first out of the jar — soft lavender with a powdery sweetness behind it, like a garden an hour after rain. myrcene follows mid-palate, adding an earthy floor. The lab figure on this 65/35 indica is 10% THC, though potency is the least interesting thing about it — plenty of cultivars test the same and taste of very little.

Growing for Aroma Rather Than Weight

The choices that bring out the Linalool/Myrcene/Caryophyllene profile in B-52 are not the choices that maximise yield, and at some point you have to pick one. The aromatic version starts in living soil — microbial activity in an established no-till bed produces secondary metabolites a synthetic feed schedule never will, and South Africa has enough good local compost and worm-casting suppliers to make that affordable rather than aspirational.

Through Approximately 7–9 Weeks, stop foliar spraying after week two: anything that lands on a developing trichome is still there at harvest. The closing three weeks decide which terpenes end up in front — nights held at 16-18°C push linalool forward, a warmer finish protects the lighter caryophyllene top notes, and you cannot have both. Decide which version of the strain you want before you get there.

Most of the loss happens after the cut. Hang for 10-14 days at 15-18°C and 55-60% humidity, which through a South African summer realistically means a climate-controlled room or a wine fridge set to 16°C. Then jar it and burp twice daily for the first fortnight. The myrcene layer that makes this cultivar worth the trouble does not surface until somewhere between day 21 and day 28 in glass.

Difficulty: moderate. In flower for Approximately 7–9 Weeks. Stands 90-120 cm. Medium. Indoors it returns 500 gr/m². Outdoors, 500 grams a plant.

What B-52 Is Like to Use

The effects most commonly reported for this cultivar are euphoric, creative. At 10% THC it sits in a bracket where the dose does most of the work. A single bowl vaporised at 185°C gives a manageable body relaxation with your head still intact — enough to close out a long day in the summer heat. Push the dose and it moves decisively toward physical sedation, which is how it tends to end up as a winter evening cultivar. The Linalool/Myrcene pairing leaves a shifting profile that keeps turning up new notes on the palate.

Where it fits: quiet evenings, a film, recovery after exercise, and the hours before sleep.

The Aromatic Three

Leading with Linalool, then Myrcene, and Caryophyllene underneath. Read across a cure, these three compounds do not stay in the same order. Fresh off the dry, linalool leads. After three or four weeks in sealed glass at 16-18°C the caryophyllene undertone comes up and the bouquet gains a layer it did not have at harvest. Vaporising between 180°C and 195°C captures the widest span of them — run it hotter and the volatile caryophyllene molecules are the first thing you lose.

Suitability and Recommendations

B-52 is a reasonable fit for growers with the basics already in place. Understand pH, know roughly what nutrient ratios do, and be able to hold a light cycle — it will not carry you, but it does not punish the occasional slip either. Because it autoflowers there is no light cycle to manage at all, which is what makes it work on a balcony, in an out-of-the-way outdoor spot, or anywhere a timer would be one more thing to go wrong. A September-to-May outdoor season comfortably covers a Approximately 7–9 Weeks bloom in the frost-free provinces. Posted discreetly anywhere in South Africa, with sourced grow figures shown on every strain page.

Autoflower Stabilisation (F5) — ruderalis trait fixing
Stabilisation Notes — What This Means for Your Grow

B-52 is an autoflowering line that has been progressed through five rounds of Royal King Genetics autoflower stabilisation. The autoflower trait is recessive — fixing it takes multi-generation work — and at F5 the auto trigger and finish window are welded across the pack.

Breeding Goal

Stabilise the recessive ruderalis trait in B-52 for uniform auto-trigger.

Selection Focus

Chosen for resin density, indica-leaning frame and tight internodes that suit indoor production.

Pollen / Mother Source

Royal King Genetics select-mother programme — pollen drawn from an internally maintained reversed-female line.
