About Couch Lock Mixpack Feminised
The way to plan Couch Lock Mixpack is backwards from the day you intend to cut, with 400–500 g/m² per square metre indoors and 400–600 g/plant per plant outdoors as the figures you are working toward, at 26% THC. Count 8–10 weeks back from that date and you have your flip date. Weight comes on evenly across 8–10 weeks, with a late surge that punishes impatience. The 49/51 balance gives you stacking density and broad trichome cover together. Outdoors, late March to late April is the sweet spot — after the summer humidity has broken, before the first Highveld frost.
What's Inside the Couch Lock Mixpack Feminised
The Couch Lock Mixpack Feminised is an assortment of three separate strains rather than a single cultivar, and every pack splits evenly between them. The 3x5=15 option is 5 seeds of each strain, 3x10=30 is 10 of each, 3x15=45 is 15 of each, and 3x20=60 is 20 of each.
- Granddaddy Purple — a classic indica with deep grape and berry flavours and a heavy body stone.
- OG Kush — a West Coast legend with earthy pine and sour lemon notes, full-body relaxation and a euphoric head.
- Strawberry Cheesecake — an indica-leaning hybrid, sweet strawberry over creamy cheese, deeply sedating and suited to the evening.
Where the Weight Actually Comes From
Yield on Couch Lock Mixpack — the 400–500 g/m² indoors and 400–600 g/plant outdoors quoted above — is decided in three short stretches of the 8–10 weeks bloom rather than evenly across it.
The first ten days after the flip. Whatever stretch happens here sets your canopy, and an uneven canopy wastes light for the remainder of the grow. Stretch of 30-40% is normal. One round of low-stress training on the tallest shoots levels it out.
Weeks three to five. This is when caryophyllene production climbs, and it answers to the gap between day and night temperature rather than to either number on its own. Keep at least 6-8°C between them. Outdoor growers in the interior provinces get that swing free in March and April; indoors, aim for 25-26°C lights-on against 18-20°C lights-off, with potassium-led bloom feed at EC 1.6-1.8.
The last ten to fourteen days. Stop feeding, flush with pH-corrected water, and read trichomes daily under a 60x loupe. Cut at 10-15% amber to keep both sides of the hybrid in play. Outdoors that usually lands between late March and mid-April.
Difficulty: intermediate. In flower for 8–10 weeks. Stands 50–140 cm. Indoors it returns 400–500 g/m². Outdoors, 400–600 g/plant a plant.
What Couch Lock Mixpack Is Like to Use
The effects most commonly reported for this cultivar are sleepy, calm. At 26% THC it sits in a bracket where flexibility is the point. Lower doses read clear and functional in the morning, higher doses read relaxed in the evening. Because the 49/51 split is even, direction is set by how much you take rather than fixed by the genetics. The Caryophyllene/Myrcene pairing leaves a warm spice that dries slightly on the exhale on the palate.
Where it fits: most occasions, with the dose adjusted to whatever the situation asks for.
The Aromatic Three
Leading with Caryophyllene, then Myrcene, and Humulene underneath. How this combination survives the move from flower to vapour or smoke is not a given. Held low, at 180-188°C, the myrcene and humulene notes stay legible with caryophyllene underneath them. Run it hotter, or burn it, and the three collapse into one — still pleasant, but without the separation that makes this cultivar worth paying attention to.
Suitability and Recommendations
Couch Lock Mixpack is a reasonable fit for growers with the basics already in place. Understand pH, know roughly what nutrient ratios do, and be able to hold a light cycle — it will not carry you, but it does not punish the occasional slip either. Photoperiod genetics leave size and timing in your hands — hold it in veg for a bigger plant, or flip early when headroom is the constraint. A September-to-May outdoor season comfortably covers a 8–10 weeks bloom in the frost-free provinces. Posted discreetly anywhere in South Africa, with sourced grow figures shown on every strain page.

Couch Lock Mixpack runs through our F4 programme. Four cycles of phenotype selection have removed the worst of the trait variation; what is left is a tight, predictable population for production.
