Royal King Genetics — Seed-Lot Testing

Figures below come from our own seed-lot testing rather than breeder marketing, taken from a single batch tested 2026-02-17 on 225 seeds.

Germination rate: 97.6% (n=225)
Last QC test date: 2026-02-17
Indoor yield: 422-598 g/m² (avg across 6 verified grower reports)
Outdoor yield: 562-832 g/plant (avg across 9 verified grower reports)

About Hindu Skunk Feminised

The way to plan Hindu Skunk is backwards from the day you intend to cut, with 300 gr/m² per square metre indoors and 400 grams per plant outdoors as the figures you are working toward, at 20% THC. Count 7-9 weeks back from that date and you have your flip date. Most of the final weight lands between weeks 5 and 8, when calyxes stack fastest and trichome cover goes from patchy to complete. Outdoors in the Southern Hemisphere you want that fattening phase falling in February while the days are still long, which puts a late-March cut about right for most of the country.

Where the Weight Actually Comes From

Yield on Hindu Skunk — the 300 gr/m² indoors and 400 grams outdoors quoted above — is decided in three short stretches of the 7-9 weeks bloom rather than evenly across it.

The first ten days after the flip. Whatever stretch happens here sets your canopy, and an uneven canopy wastes light for the remainder of the grow. Stretch is modest at 20-30%. Strip the lower fan leaves around day seven and that energy goes into bud sites instead.

Weeks three to five. This is when myrcene production climbs, and it answers to the gap between day and night temperature rather than to either number on its own. Keep at least 6-8°C between them. Outdoor growers in the interior provinces get that swing free in March and April; indoors, aim for 25-26°C lights-on against 18-20°C lights-off, with potassium-led bloom feed at EC 1.6-1.8.

The last ten to fourteen days. Stop feeding, flush with pH-corrected water, and read trichomes daily under a 60x loupe. Cut at 15-20% amber for the heavy end of what this genetics does. Outdoors that usually lands between late March and mid-April.

Difficulty: easy. In flower for 7-9 weeks. Stands 90-120 cm. Medium. Indoors it returns 300 gr/m². Outdoors, 400 grams a plant.

Aroma, Flavour and Effect

The first thing Hindu Skunk does at 20% THC is coat the palate with a deep, musky earthiness. The giggly, happy, relaxed effects follow within minutes, starting as weight behind the eyes and working down through the shoulders and limbs. Fifteen minutes in there is a physical stillness — not sedation so much as a disinclination to get up. Two to three hours at a moderate dose. Caryophyllene sits underneath all of it, adding a grounding warmth that keeps the whole thing anchored.

The Aromatic Three

Leading with Myrcene, then Caryophyllene, and Linalool underneath. How this combination survives the move from flower to vapour or smoke is not a given. Held low, at 180-188°C, the caryophyllene and linalool notes stay legible with myrcene underneath them. Run it hotter, or burn it, and the three collapse into one — still pleasant, but without the separation that makes this cultivar worth paying attention to.

Suitability and Recommendations

Who does well with Hindu Skunk? Indoor growers who want the harvest date to be their decision. Outdoor growers who want to choose the moment flowering starts. Anyone with the room and the patience to veg it properly before flipping. It is rated easy, which in practice means a moderate learning curve that rewards attention without needing laboratory conditions. Sent nationwide in plain, unbranded packaging, with sourced grow data on every strain page.

Stabilisation Notes — What This Means for Your Grow

When a strain has been kicking around since the mid-2010s, the question becomes whether the modern seed line still grows like the original cut. Our F5 IBL on Hindu Skunk answers that — five rounds of selection have re-locked the bud-to-leaf ratio that made the cultivar a benchmark.

Breeding Goal

Restabilise a mid-2010s cultivar to contemporary uniformity standards.

Selection Focus

Chosen for trichome coverage, stout structure and consistent flowering time across the pack.
