How much can go wrong before it shows? Some. Anyone who understands pH, a feeding schedule and a light cycle will be fine. Neglect it entirely and it will suffer, but a single missed watering will not undo the grow.

Which medium suits it best? Depends what you are optimising for. Organic soil cut with 30% perlite and amended with bone meal, rock phosphate and kelp meal gives the fuller flavour, and all three are stocked by garden centres, agricultural co-ops and hydro shops countrywide. Does it cope with real summer heat? Reasonably. The dense foliage shades itself, so a spell above 28°C slows growth without stalling it. Mulch the root zone and water before 7am and heat stress stays manageable through most of the country.

When do I switch to bloom feed? As soon as pistils show, not a fortnight later. The 68/32 genetics changes its demand sharply at the transition: phosphorus and potassium uptake rises while nitrogen demand falls away. Understand pH, know roughly what nutrient ratios do, and be able to hold a light cycle — it will not carry you, but it does not punish the occasional slip either.
