Royal King Genetics — Seed-Lot Testing

Figures below come from our own seed-lot testing rather than breeder marketing, taken from a single batch tested 2026-03-21 on 225 seeds.

Germination rate: 96.4% (n=225)
Last QC test date: 2026-03-21
Indoor yield: 438-566 g/m² (avg across 10 verified grower reports)
Outdoor yield: 488-746 g/plant (avg across 5 verified grower reports)

About Northern Cream Feminised

The way to plan Northern Cream is backwards from the day you intend to cut, with 150–250 g/m² per square metre indoors and 300–500 g/plant per plant outdoors as the figures you are working toward, at 18% THC. Count 8–10 weeks back from that date and you have your flip date. Weight comes on evenly across 8–10 weeks, with a late surge that punishes impatience. The 64/36 balance gives you stacking density and broad trichome cover together. Outdoors, late March to late April is the sweet spot — after the summer humidity has broken, before the first Highveld frost.

Where the Weight Actually Comes From

Yield on Northern Cream — the 150–250 g/m² indoors and 300–500 g/plant outdoors quoted above — is decided in three short stretches of the 8–10 weeks bloom rather than evenly across it.

The first ten days after the flip. Whatever stretch happens here sets your canopy, and an uneven canopy wastes light for the remainder of the grow. Stretch of 30-40% is normal. One round of low-stress training on the tallest shoots levels it out.

Weeks three to five. This is when limonene production climbs, and it answers to the gap between day and night temperature rather than to either number on its own. Keep at least 6-8°C between them. Outdoor growers in the interior provinces get that swing free in March and April; indoors, aim for 25-26°C lights-on against 18-20°C lights-off, with potassium-led bloom feed at EC 1.6-1.8.

The last ten to fourteen days. Stop feeding, flush with pH-corrected water, and read trichomes daily under a 60x loupe. Cut at 10-15% amber to keep both sides of the hybrid in play. Outdoors that usually lands between late March and mid-April.

Difficulty: easy. In flower for 8–10 weeks. Stands 170–210 cm. Indoors it returns 150–250 g/m². Outdoors, 300–500 g/plant a plant.

Aroma, Flavour and Effect

The first thing Northern Cream does at 18% THC is lift it with a bright, nearly effervescent citrus. The euphoric, calm effects follow within minutes, across head and body at once. Thinking stays clear while muscle tension drains off, which leaves the dose as the deciding factor — light for the afternoon, heavier and it moves into the evening without a jolt. Caryophyllene sits underneath all of it, adding a grounding warmth that keeps the whole thing anchored.

The Aromatic Three

Leading with Limonene, then Caryophyllene, and Linalool underneath. Read across a cure, these three compounds do not stay in the same order. Fresh off the dry, limonene leads. After three or four weeks in sealed glass at 16-18°C the linalool undertone comes up and the bouquet gains a layer it did not have at harvest. Vaporising between 180°C and 195°C captures the widest span of them — run it hotter and the volatile linalool molecules are the first thing you lose.

Suitability and Recommendations

Who does well with Northern Cream? Indoor growers who want the harvest date to be their decision. Outdoor growers who want to choose the moment flowering starts. Anyone with the room and the patience to veg it properly before flipping. It is rated easy, which in practice means a moderate learning curve that rewards attention without needing laboratory conditions. Sent nationwide in plain, unbranded packaging, with sourced grow data on every strain page.
