About Big Buddha Cheese Feminised

Will Big Buddha Cheese handle a South African summer outdoors? Yes. Put this 60/40 hybrid in the ground between September and November and you will be cutting from March to May. The balanced genetics take what the country gives them, from coastal humidity in KwaZulu-Natal through to dry Karoo heat. Bloom runs 8-9 weeks, placing harvest between March and May across most provinces.

What yield is realistic? Up to 450g/m² indoors is reachable under decent LED with steady feeding. Outdoors, Up to 450 gr a plant is normal in 50 litre pots or straight into prepared ground in full sun. At 18% THC with caryophyllene in front, the return on effort is good.

How much can go wrong before it shows? Some. Anyone who understands pH, a feeding schedule and a light cycle will be fine. Neglect it entirely and it will suffer, but a single missed watering will not undo the grow.

Further Questions from South African Growers

Which medium suits it best? Depends what you are optimising for. Organic soil cut with 30% perlite and amended with bone meal, rock phosphate and kelp meal gives the fuller flavour, and all three are stocked by garden centres, agricultural co-ops and hydro shops countrywide. Coco under automated fertigation at EC 1.4-1.8 through bloom gives the bigger number. This hybrid genetics performs in either.

Does it cope with real summer heat? Well enough, on hybrid vigour. Keep the root zone under 28°C with mulch or pale pots, and do not transplant during a heatwave.

When do I switch to bloom feed? As soon as pistils show, not a fortnight later. The 60/40 genetics changes its demand sharply at the transition: phosphorus and potassium uptake rises while nitrogen demand falls away. Soil growers can top-dress with guano and sulphate of potash; coco and hydro growers should move to a low-N, high-PK formula immediately.

Indoors or outdoors? Indoors buys control over the 8-9 weeks environment. Outdoors, across a September-to-May season, gives you sunlight intensity no LED at any price reproduces, and the full Up to 450 gr. Difficulty: medium. In flower for 8-9 weeks. Stands Medium. Indoors it returns Up to 450g/m². Outdoors, Up to 450 gr a plant.

Aroma, Flavour and Effect

The first thing Big Buddha Cheese does at 18% THC is settle a warm peppery spice at the back of the throat. The happy, relaxed, uplifted effects follow within minutes, across head and body at once. Thinking stays clear while muscle tension drains off, which leaves the dose as the deciding factor — light for the afternoon, heavier and it moves into the evening without a jolt. Limonene sits underneath all of it, adding a brightness that offsets any heaviness.

The Aromatic Three

Leading with Caryophyllene, then Limonene, and Myrcene underneath. How this combination survives the move from flower to vapour or smoke is not a given. Held low, at 180-188°C, the limonene and myrcene notes stay legible with caryophyllene underneath them. Run it hotter, or burn it, and the three collapse into one — still pleasant, but without the separation that makes this cultivar worth paying attention to.

Suitability and Recommendations

Who does well with Big Buddha Cheese? Indoor growers who want the harvest date to be their decision. Outdoor growers who want to choose the moment flowering starts. Anyone with the room and the patience to veg it properly before flipping. It is rated medium, which in practice means a moderate learning curve that rewards attention without needing laboratory conditions. Sent nationwide in plain, unbranded packaging, with sourced grow data on every strain page.

Stabilisation Notes — What This Means for Your Grow

Five generations of inbred selection on the original early-2000s legacy Big Buddha Cheese cuts. We were not chasing a redesign — we locked the terpene fidelity that earned this cultivar its reputation. Whatever the next pack throws is what the last pack threw.
