Will Remedy handle a South African summer outdoors? Yes. Put this 68/32 indica in the ground between September and November and you will be cutting from March to May. It stays low enough not to clear a boundary wall, and the short frame carries more weight than its size suggests. Bloom runs 6-8 weeks, placing harvest between March and May across most provinces.

What yield is realistic? 300 g/m2 indoors is reachable under decent LED with steady feeding. Outdoors, 550 g/plant a plant is normal in 50 litre pots or straight into prepared ground in full sun. At 15% THC with myrcene in front, the return on effort is good.

How much can go wrong before it shows? Some. Anyone who understands pH, a feeding schedule and a light cycle will be fine. Neglect it entirely and it will suffer, but a single missed watering will not undo the grow.

Which medium suits it best? Depends what you are optimising for. Organic soil cut with 30% perlite and amended with bone meal, rock phosphate and kelp meal gives the fuller flavour, and all three are stocked by garden centres, agricultural co-ops and hydro shops countrywide. Coco under automated fertigation at EC 1.4-1.8 through bloom gives the bigger number. This indica genetics performs in either.

Does it cope with real summer heat? Reasonably. The dense foliage shades itself, so a spell above 28°C slows growth without stalling it. Mulch the root zone and water before 7am and heat stress stays manageable through most of the country.

When do I switch to bloom feed? As soon as pistils show, not a fortnight later. The 68/32 genetics changes its demand sharply at the transition: phosphorus and potassium uptake rises while nitrogen demand falls away. Soil growers can top-dress with guano and sulphate of potash; coco and hydro growers should move to a low-N, high-PK formula immediately.

Indoors or outdoors? Indoors buys control over the 6-8 weeks environment. Outdoors, across a September-to-May season, gives you sunlight intensity no LED at any price reproduces, and the full 550 g/plant. Difficulty: easy. In flower for 6-8 weeks. Stands Small (0-120 cm). The effects most commonly reported for this cultivar are relaxed, sleepy, happy. At 15% THC it sits in a bracket where the dose does most of the work. A single bowl vaporised at 185°C gives a manageable body relaxation with your head still intact — enough to close out a long day in the summer heat. Push the dose and it moves decisively toward physical sedation, which is how it tends to end up as a winter evening cultivar. The Myrcene/Humulene pairing leaves an earthy sweetness with a fruit finish on the palate.

Where it fits: quiet evenings, a film, recovery after exercise, and the hours before sleep.

Leading with Myrcene, then Humulene, and Linalool underneath. How this combination survives the move from flower to vapour or smoke is not a given. Held low, at 180-188°C, the humulene and linalool notes stay legible with myrcene underneath them. Run it hotter, or burn it, and the three collapse into one — still pleasant, but without the separation that makes this cultivar worth paying attention to.

Remedy is a reasonable fit for growers with the basics already in place. Understand pH, know roughly what nutrient ratios do, and be able to hold a light cycle — it will not carry you, but it does not punish the occasional slip either. Photoperiod genetics leave size and timing in your hands — hold it in veg for a bigger plant, or flip early when headroom is the constraint.
